Canon EOS R1 explained

Camera Name:	Canon EOS R1
Sensor Size:	Full-frame (36 × 24 mm)

The Canon EOS R1 (development announced on 15 May 2024)^[1] is a full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera produced by Canon. The EOS R1 will be Canon's first flagship EOS R System model.^{[2] [3]}

The EOS R1 features:

• a new ‘DIGIC Accelerator’ image processor that supplements the existing DIGIC X processor
• a new CMOS sensor
• deep learning technology
• improved subject recognition and tracking accuracy
• improved noise reduction.

Canon announced the full specification on July 17, 2024 with deliveries expected in November 2024.^{[4] [5]}

• DIGIC X processor with new DIGIC Accelerator chip
• 100% autofocus coverage
• 4,368 user-selectable autofocus points for still images
