Canarium megalanthum is a tree in the family Burseraceae. The specific epithet Greek, Modern (1453-);: megalanthum is from the Greek meaning 'large flower'.
Canarium megalanthum grows up to 35m (115feet) tall with a trunk diameter of up to 50cm (20inches). The grey bark is smooth to scaly. The ellipsoid fruits measure up to 7.50NaN0 long.
Canarium megalanthum grows naturally in Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. Its habitat is mixed dipterocarp forest from sea-level to 360m (1,180feet) altitude.
