Camden Bonsu-Stewart (born 6 June 2004),[1] known professionally as camdenmusique (stylised in lowercase), is a British pianist, composer, singer, and producer of Ghanaian and Jamaican descent.[2] His work blends classical, operatic, ambient, and jazz traditions. He became known for sharing public piano performances of his original compositions on social media.[3] From 2012 to 2022, he toured internationally with the Libera choir.[4] [5] [6]
Camden Bonsu-Stewart was born on 6 June 2004 in London, England. Born to a Ghanaian mother and Jamaican father, he began studying piano during his childhood through weekly private lessons while performing with Libera.[7] This early training provided a strong musical foundation and nurtured his interest in composing original classical piano pieces during his free time. He later pursued classical vocal studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.[8] [9]
Camdenmusique is a Young Ambassador for the Lang Lang International Music Foundation.[10]
In November 2023, camdenmusique performed at the unveiling of Burlington Arcade's Christmas lights, led by Andrew Lloyd Webber.[11]
In December 2023, camdenmusique performed his original composition "emotional intelligence" live on BBC Radio London’s Inspirit with Jumoké Fashola.
In February 2024, a video of camdenmusique performing his original composition "lost" at St Pancras railway station went viral on TikTok, amassing over 27 million views and was featured in The U.S. Sun.
