Callizygaena ada explained

Callizygaena ada is a moth in the Zygaenidae family. It was described by Arthur Gardiner Butler in 1892.[1] It occurs in lowland and lower montane areas,[2] and is known from Borneo,[3] [4] Sumatra,[3] [4] Java,[4] Thailand[4] and Cambodia.[4]

Female specimens have a lengthened ovipositor.[5] The caterpillar is colorful and somewhat reminiscent of those of Limacodidae.[6]
