Calipt'Air Serenis explained

The Calipt'Air Serenis (English: Serene) is a Swiss single-place, paraglider that was designed and produced by Calipt'Air of Spiez. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development

The Serenis was designed as an intermediate glider. The models are each named for their relative size.[1]

Operational history

Reviewer Noel Bertrand described the Serenis in a 2003 review as "lively and very easy to fly".[1]

Serenis S
  • Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 11.171NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 27m2, 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.9:1. The pilot weight range is 65to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]

  • Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.641NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 29m2, 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.9:1. The pilot weight range is 75to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
    Serenis L
  • Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 12.111NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 31m2, 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.9:1. The pilot weight range is 90to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
