The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) is a California state government agency created by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). As the first dedicated privacy regulator in the United States, the agency implements and enforces the CPRA and the California Consumer Privacy Act.[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

With the enactment of the California Delete Act, the agency also maintains the California data broker registry and will build a one-stop shop data deletion mechanism for consumers.[7]
