Cahergall Explained
Cahergall is a stone ringfort (cashel) and National Monument located in County Kerry, Ireland.[4] [5]
Location
Cahergall is located immediately southeast of Leacanabuaile, 2.7km (01.7miles) northwest of Cahirciveen.[6]
History
The cashel was built around the 7th century AD as a defended farmstead.[7]
Description
This is a circular stone ringfort (caiseal) of internal diameter 25m (82feet) with outer walls 4m (13feet) high and 5m (16feet) thick.[8] [9]
