Buturlinsky District (Russian: Бутурли́нский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Buturlinsky Municipal District.[2] It is located in the southeastern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 1105.2km2. Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Buturlino. Population: 14,471 (2010 Census); The population of Buturlino accounts for 44.3% of the district's total population.
