Burmester is an unincorporated community in northeastern Tooele County, Utah, United States.

Description

Burmester is located along Interstate 80 on the north end of the Tooele Valley, near the southwestern edge of the Great Salt Lake, 7miles north of Grantsville.[1]

Burmester was originally settled as a railroad community under the name of Grants Station; in 1906 it was renamed for landowner Frank T. Burmester.[2] The community severely declined during the Great Depression.
