Bullsh*t: The Game Show is an American television game show hosted by Howie Mandel on Netflix that released on April 27, 2022. This was Mandel's first game show since the cancellation of the Deal or No Deal revival back in 2019.
In the game, players work their way up a money ladder either by answering questions correctly or confidently giving incorrect answers and persuading their opponents that they are accurate. To win up to $1,000,000 in this game,[1] you don't have to be the smartest one in the game to cash in, you just have to convince the other contestants that you are.[2]
After a contestant chooses an answer, we don't know if it was correct or not. Instead, the player tells a story about how he or she supposedly knew the answer. Then the three other opponents decide whether they believe their story or not. Finally, the true answer is revealed. If the contestant was right, it's on to the next round without issue. If the contestant was wrong, it's still on to the next round, as long as at least one panelist got duped by the bogus explanation, and if all 3 opponents didn't believe the story, the contestant goes home with either nothing or something depending on where and when it happens.[3]
Melissa Camacho of Common Sense Media gave the show 3 out of 5 stars calling it a fun game show, praised Mandel's humor hosting, and the cliffhangers in each episode, claiming it to "make it easy to binge watch", though she did mentioned the word "bulls--t" being used a lot in the show may be unsettling for younger viewers.[4]
