Brzezinka (pronounced as /pl/) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Andrychów, within Wadowice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 5km (03miles) south of Andrychów, 150NaN0 south-west of Wadowice, and 520NaN0 south-west of the regional capital Kraków.[1]
During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), in 1942, the German gendarmerie carried out expulsions of Poles, whose houses and farms were then handed over to German colonists as part of the Lebensraum policy.[2] Expelled Poles were enslaved as forced labour of new German colonists.[2]
