Brentford is a town in Spink County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 88 at the 2020 census.[4]
The town took its name after Brentford, in England, the native home of a railroad official.[5]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.16sqmi, all land.[6]
As of the census[7] of 2010, there were 77 people, 30 households, and 19 families residing in the town. The population density was 481.3PD/sqmi. There were 33 housing units at an average density of 206.3/sqmi. The racial makeup of the town was 98.7% White and 1.3% from two or more races.
There were 30 households, of which 30.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.3% were married couples living together, 10.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.7% were non-families. 23.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 3.00.
