Brady Hunter House (born June 4, 2003) is an American professional baseball Third baseman in the Washington Nationals organization.
House grew up in Winder, Georgia.[1] While attending middle school, he was named to Baseball USA's U-12 National Team.[2] House attended Winder-Barrow High School. He hit .445 with five home runs and 21 RBIs as a sophomore in 2019.[3] Following the season, he committed to play college baseball at the University of Tennessee.[4] [5] House batted .653 as a junior through 15 games before his season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.[6] [7] House entered his senior year in 2021 as a top prospect for the upcoming Major League Baseball draft.[8] [9] [10] [11] He finished his senior season with a .549 batting average and 52 runs scored, 20 RBIs, and eight home runs, and was ranked the best power hitting prospect by MLB.com.[12] [13] [14]
House was selected by the Washington Nationals with the 11th overall selection of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.[15] He signed with the team on July 31, 2021, and received a $5 million signing bonus.[16] House was assigned to the Rookie-level Florida Complex League Nationals to start his professional career.[17] Over 16 games, he batted .322 with four home runs and 12 RBIs.[18]
Brady House started the 2022 season with the Fredericksburg Nationals, the Low-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals. He only played in 45 games due to injury this season. He had 176 plate appearances and posted a .278 average with 8 doubles, 3 home runs and 31 RBI’s.
He started the 2023 season with the Fredericksburg Nationals, playing in 36 games with 138 at bats. He batted .297 with 8 doubles, 1 triple and 6 home runs. On June 9, 2023 he was promoted to the High-A affiliate, Wilmington Blue Rocks. While with the Blue Rocks, he played in 16 games with 63 at bats, with an average of .317, he hit for 5 doubles and 3 home runs. On July 7, 2023 Brady House was assigned to the National League Futures All Star game. After the All Star break he was promoted and finished the 2023 season with the Double A affiliate, Harrisburg Senators. He played in 36 games with 139 plate appearances. He batted an average of .324 with 8 doubles, 2 triples and 3 home runs.
Brady started the 2024 season with the Double A affiliate, Harrisburg Senators. He played in 75 games with 274 plate appearances. He hit for 11 doubles, 1 triple and 13 home runs. On July 7, 2024 Brady was assigned to the Triple-A affiliate, Rochester Red Wings. As of July 15, 2024 Brady has played in 3 games with the Red Wings, having 12 plate appearances with an average of .333 with 2 doubles.
On July 12, 2024 Brady House was assigned to the National League Futures All Star team for the second straight year.
