Boyden is a city in Sioux County, Iowa, United States. The population was 701 at the 2020 census.[2]

As of the census[5] of 2010, there were 707 people, 279 households, and 208 families residing in the city. The population density was 942.7PD/sqmi. There were 290 housing units at an average density of 386.7/sqmi. The racial makeup of the city was 93.6% White, 0.4% African American, 0.1% Native American, 1.1% Asian, 3.5% from other races, and 1.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.5% of the population.
There were 279 households, of which 34.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.8% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.9% had a male householder with no wife present, and 25.4% were non-families. 22.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 2.97.
The median age in the city was 36.2 years. 27.9% of residents were under the age of 18; 7% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.9% were from 25 to 44; 23.5% were from 45 to 64; and 16.8% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 50.5% male and 49.5% female.

The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.88.

Boyden–Hull Community School District includes Boyden in its boundary,[7] and operates Boyden–Hull Elementary School in Boyden,[8] and Boyden–Hull Junior/High School in Hull; the latter houses the district's headquarters.[9]
