It is located on the east bank of the Ouachita River, about 20miles below Monroe, Louisiana, on Cordell Lane, off what is now U.S. Route 165 prior to the main house being built for the plantation.

It was built by Judge Henry Bry. It includes Greek Revival and Federal architecture with a central hallway. The listing included two contributing buildings.[1]

Another cottage from the plantation, the Bosco Plantation House, is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
