Borrowston[1] (Gaelic; Scottish Gaelic: Borghastan), with a population of about 50, is a crofting township situated on the Isle of Lewis, on the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It lies at the northern end of Loch Carloway NaNmiles west of Carloway.[2] Borrowston is within the parish of Uig, and is situated near to the A858, which runs through Carloway.[3] The hill Ben Borriston (85abbr=offNaNabbr=off) lies to the west.
