Bobblestock is a northwestern suburb and ward of Hereford in the ceremonial county of Herefordshire, England. It is one of the 16 wards on Hereford City Council and is currently represented by Cllr Rob Owens.[1] [2] [3] The population of Bobblestock in the 2021 Census was recorded at 3,387.[4] [5]
In 1921, Alfred Watkins suggested the name derives from Baublestock, as in a tree or stock where baubles are sold. However, Sid Wright responded with a refutation in the Hereford Times, calling it a "bad guess" that lacked evidence.[6]
Bobblestock is located to the northwest of the city of Hereford and is close to both the Racecourse ward and Hereford Racecourse. It is located near to Roman Road (A4103). Bobblestock is also close to the small village of Huntington.
