Bhagalpur division is one of the nine administrative units of Bihar, a state in the east of India. Bhagalpur city is the headquarters of the division. Established in 1765, it is oldest division of the state.

City and town in Bhagalpur Division

Bhagalpur is the largest city in Bhagalpur Division situated on the southern bank of the Ganges river.The old name of Bhagalpur was Champanagri which was the capital of Anga Kingdom.

Kahalgaon (formerly known as Colgong during British rule) is a municipality town and one of three subdivisions in Bhagalpur district in the state of Bihar, India. It is located close to the Vikramashila.

Banka is a town and headquarters of Banka district of bihar.

Naugachia is a town and an important railway station in Bhagalpur district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is a block and one of three subdivisions of the Bhagalpur district and also a police district.

Sultanganj is a town and a block in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. It is located 25 km from Bhagalpur.
