The Beutler test, also known as the fluorescent spot test,^[1] is a screening test used to identify enzyme defects.^{[2] [3] [4]}

Uses

It can be used in screening for:

• galactosemia^{[5] [6]}
• glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency^{[7] [8]}
