Better Than You Bay Bay was a professional wrestling tag team which consisted of Adam Cole and MJF, who are currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
The duo originally feuded together in June 2023, but after Cole's title shot match for MJF's AEW World Championship, they were forced to work as one tag team for the Blind Eliminator Tournament to earn an AEW World Tag Team Championship title match against the reigning champions, FTR, in which they won the tournament but lost against FTR. Afterwards, the two would team up at AEW All In: Zero Hour to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship from Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher). The two would hold onto the titles for 123 days, in which MJF would have to both defend the titles alone in handicap matches and with Samoa Joe as Cole suffered a legitimate ankle injury. MJF would lose the titles against The Devil's Masked Men, as part of the ongoing Devil storyline within AEW, in a handicap match on AEW Dynamite in December 2023. At World's End after losing the AEW World Title to Joe, MJF was betrayed by Adam Cole as he revealed himself to be the Devil, ending the team in the process.
In June 2023, Cole and MJF began a feud storyline for MJF's AEW World Championship. Cole was interrupting MJF's segment on the June 7 episode of Dynamite. the confrontation ended with MJF accepting an eliminator title match against Cole the following week, where if Cole won, he'd earn a future title match against MJF.[1] The following week, Cole narrowly missed out on defeating MJF, due to the 30 minute time limit expiring as Cole was pinning MJF. After the draw, MJF refused to continue the bout, thus costing Cole a future title match.[2] On the June 21 edition of Dynamite, MJF further refused to grant Cole a title match, despite his close loss. The duo were then informed by Tony Schiavone that they had been randomly drawn together as a tag team for the upcoming Blind Eliminator Tournament, much to both men's dismay.[3] On the same week's edition of Rampage, MJF announced he had gotten Adam Cole a match against NJPW's Tom Lawlor at Forbidden Door, Cole was then attacked by Lawlor and Royce Isaacs of Team Filthy.[4] Shortly before Forbidden Door, the match was cancelled, after Cole was forced to pull out of the match due to an illness.[5] As the Blind Eliminator Tournament began, Cole and MJF began to get along, eventually becoming best friends and defeating Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara in the tournament finals at Blood & Guts to win the tournament and earn an AEW World Tag Team Championship match against FTR.[6] The title match took place on the July 29 episode of Collision, where Cole and MJF lost.[7]
Despite the loss, MJF had promised Cole a future AEW World Championship match, which he announced to take place at the main event of All In.[8] The following week, in addition to their AEW World Championship match, Cole—who still felt he and MJF could be a championship caliber tag team—challenged Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) for the ROH World Tag Team Championship to take place on All In's Zero Hour pre-show.[9] Aussie Open accepted the challenge on that week's Rampage.[10] On August 27 at All In, Cole and MJF defeated Aussie Open to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship.[11] In the main event, Cole lost to MJF, although the two embraced after the match.[12] At All Out on September 3, 2023, Better Than You Bay Bay successfully defended the ROH World Tag Team Championship against The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver). At WrestleDream in October 2023, MJF successfully defended the titles against The Righteous (Dutch and Vincent) in a handicap match after Cole suffered a broken ankle.
On the December 30, 2023 at AEW Worlds End, Cole revealed himself as The Devil along with The Devil's Masked Men (consisting of The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett), Roderick Strong and Wardlow), thus turning heel against MJF and disbanding the team in the process.[13]
