Berau River is a river of East Kalimantan, Indonesia, about 300km (200miles) north of the provincial capital Samarinda.[7] [8] Tributaries include the Kelai River.
Geography
The river flows in the eastern area of Kalimantan with a predominantly tropical rainforest climate (designated as Af in the Köppen-Geiger climate classification).[9] The annual average temperature in the area is 23C. The warmest month is April, when the average temperature is around 24C, and the coldest is January, at 22C.[10] The average annual rainfall is 2835mm. The wettest month is December, with an average of 332mm rainfall, and the driest is August, with 154mm rainfall.[11]
