Benton City is a village in Audrain County, Missouri, United States. The population was 104 at the 2010 census.
Benton City was platted in 1881.[3] The village is named after Thomas Hart Benton.[4]
Benton City is located at 39.1347°N -91.7644°W (39.134798, -91.764443).[5]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.1sqmi, all land.[6]
As of the census[7] of 2010, there were 104 people, 49 households, and 37 families residing in the village. The population density was 1040PD/sqmi. There were 59 housing units at an average density of 590/sqmi. The racial makeup of the village was 99.0% White and 1.0% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.0% of the population.
There were 49 households, of which 16.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.3% were married couples living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, 2.0% had a male householder with no wife present, and 24.5% were non-families. 22.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.12 and the average family size was 2.43.
