Belize competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, which is originally scheduled to take place from 26 July 2024 to 11 August 2024. It was the nation's fourteenth appearance at the Olympics, although it previously appeared in two early editions under the name "British Honduras" (1968 in Mexico City, and 1972 in Munich), except for 1980, joining the US led boycott.
The team from Belize consisted of one male track and field athlete.[1] [2] Belize's only athlete Shaun Gill served as the country's flag bearer during the opening ceremony.[3]
Shaun Gill finished 6th in his heat in the Men's 100 metres, failing to secure a podium finish, resulting in his elimination and missing his only chance at an Olympic medal.
