Beaufort (in French pronounced as /bofɔʁ/; Bôfôrt), also Beaufort-sur-Doron, is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is the namesake for the Beaufort cheese, which is produced in the surrounding area.
