Bayou Plaquemine Brule Explained
Bayou Plaquemine Brulé (; historically spelled Plakemine;[1] translated to "burnt persimmon bayou")[2] is a waterway in the Mermentau River basin of south Louisiana. The bayou is long[3] and is navigable for of its lower course.[4]
One of the first settlers of the area was Michel Comeau.[5]
