Baru is a town under the administration of Xichang, Sichuan, China.^[1], it administers the following six villages:^[2]

• Jiawu Village (Chinese: 甲乌村)
• Hebian Village (Chinese: 河边村)
• Baima Village (Chinese: 白马村)
• Malu Village (Chinese: 马鹿村)
• Bazhe Village (Chinese: 巴折村)
• Makuang Village (Chinese: 马筐村)

Baru was formed in December 2019 by merging the former Baru Township, Yinchang Township (Chinese: 银厂乡), and Baima Township (Chinese: 白马乡).^[3]
