Barkley Township is one of thirteen townships in Jasper County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 915 (up from 900 at 2010[2]) and it contained 373 housing units.
Barkley Township was established in 1838. It was named for Henry Barkley, Sr.[3]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which (or 99.97%) is land and (or 0.02%) is water.[2]
The township contains nine cemeteries: Brown, Dunkard, Hankle, Parkison, Prater, Price, Rees, Sandridge and Smith.
