Barkley (formerly Barkley Evergreen & Partners), founded in 1964, is a Kansas City, Missouri, United States, based full-service advertising agency known for their work on Sonic Drive-In Restaurants,[1] Planet Fitness,[2] and Dairy Queen. Barkley is the largest independent advertising agency in Kansas City, and the seventh-largest independent advertising agency in the U.S.[3]

Jeff King is the current CEO.[4]

Acquisitions

Barkley acquired Pittsburgh-based Ripple Effects Interactive in March 2008. Ripple was rebranded BarkleyREI.[5]

Barkley announced the acquisition of Callahan, a Lawrence-based ad agency.[6] In September that same year, Keystone Capital, Inc. announced its investment in Barkley, the Kansas City metro area’s third-largest advertising agency.[7]

In early 2024, Barkley merged with OKRP to become BarkleyOKRP.[8] [9]
