The Baotou–Yinchuan high-speed railway is a high-speed railway in China. It will be 420.2km (261.1miles) long and has a design speed of 250km/h. A branch from Yinchuan to Alxa Left Banner will be 111.1km (69miles) long and has a design speed of 200km/h.[1]
On 16 August 2018, construction began on the section from Yinchuan to Huinong South.[2] On 17 May 2022, construction of the remaining section between Huinong South and Yinchuan began.[3]
On 17 July 2024, non-revenue service trains started running on the section between Yinchuan and Huinong South.[4]
The railway roughly follows the Baotou–Lanzhou railway.
