Ban Pong Hospital, is a hospital located in Ban Pong district, Ratchaburi province, Thailand. It is classified under the Ministry of Public Health as a general hospital and is one of three general hospitals in the province. It is an affiliated teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.[1]

History

Ban Pong was assigned as a sukhaphiban (sanitary district) since 15 November 1916 by royal decree. A health station was set up in Ban Pong in 1936 and was run by Luang Wetchasit Niraphai. The operation was transferred to the MOPH in 1953 and has since been converted into a hospital and expanded to a capacity of 340 beds in 2022.[2] [3]
