Valavannur Bafakhy Yatheemkhana (also known as Bafakhy Yatheemkhana) is a charitable orphanage based in Malappuram District in the Indian state of Kerala. The yatheemkhana (orphanage) is located in Valavannur near Tirur.[1]
It runs about 20 educational institutions apart from the charity outfits.[2] It includes a school, a college, teachers training Institute, foster home, academy for Islamic studies, and a school for visually or hearing impaired pupils. Yatheemkhana's institutions working under Valavannur Bafaqi Yatimkhana, established under the leadership of Marhum Chappanangadi Bapu Musliyar.
The School consists of a high school. Higher secondary class (Science, Humanities, Commerce) and vocational courses (Medical Lab technician, Domestic nursing, Account and Auditing). Now the school imparts the education more than 4000 people from various parts of the district's SSLC.
C. H. Mohammed Koya (Late Chief Minister of Kerala) granted this school in 1978.
