Khari Jahmill Hoard (October 4, 2005), known professionally as Baby Kia, is an American rapper and singer born in Atlanta, Georgia.[1] Hoard is famed for his violent and intense music. Often known as an pioneer of the "crash out" genre of music,[2] characterized by its especially violent, gruesome, and often unhinged lyrics. Hoard has gained fame for his various songs including "OD CRASHIN", and "Let's Play a Game".

Career

On April 17, 2023, Hoard released "Kia World," his first independently released EP.[3] Later that year on September 29, 2023, Hoard released his 2nd EP "Glahh Glahh Boom."[4] [5]

On December 1, 2023, Hoard released his single "Let's Play a Game," which went viral. Hoard's album "HELL CAN'T SAVE YOU" was included in the XXL magazine for new hip hop projects.[6]

Hoard released the full-length of "HELL CAN'T SAVE YOU" on March 13, 2024 making it his debut album.[7]

On April 22, 2024 Hoard was nominated for voting for the 10th spot in the 2024 XXL Freshman Class.[8] Hoard did not make it into the class. In July 2024, Hoard was invited to perform at Druski's first "Coulda Fest" on September 7, 2024 alongside artists including Lil Baby, Kai Cenat, and Soulja Boy.[9] [10]

On October 16, 2024, Hoard released his second album "I PRAY YOU DIE," which included features from Lazer Dim 700 and YTB Fatt.

Musical style

AllMusic described his music as "unhinged, often screamed delivery and relentlessly violent lyrics influenced by sadistic horror movies" Baby Kia has a unique rap style with traces of horrorcore.[11]
