Avvakir Explained

Avvakir (Russian: Авваки́р) is an old and uncommon Russian Christian^[1] male first name.^[2] It derives from the Biblical Hebrew word abba, meaning father, combined with the first name Kir.

Its diminutive is Kira (Russian: Ки́ра). The patronymics derived from this first name are "Russian: Авваки́рович" (Avvakirovich; masculine) and "Russian: Авваки́ровна" (Avvakirovna; feminine).
