Avernes-Saint-Gourgon (pronounced as /fr/) is a commune in the Orne department in northwestern France.
Geography
The commune along with another 11 communes shares part of a 1,400 hectare, Natura 2000 conservation area, called the Haute Vallée de la Touques et affluents.[2]

The Commune has two buildings and areas listed as a Monument historique.[3]
- Church of Saint-Cyr and Sainte-Julitte of Saint-Cyr-d'Estrancourt is an 11th century church, declared as a monument in 1998.[4]
- Saint-Gourgon Church is a 19th century church, declared as a monument in 2006.[5]
