Auto Parts Warehouse (APW) is an American online retailer specializing in automotive parts and accessories for cars, vans, trucks, and sport utility vehicles. It is one of the flagship websites of CarParts, an American online provider of aftermarket auto parts, encompassing collision parts, engine components, and performance parts and accessories.

History

Founded in 1995, Auto Parts Warehouse began as a small-scale auto parts distributor in California.[1] It evolved into a large-scale e-commerce platform for the automotive aftermarket.

In April 2020, Auto Parts Warehouse merged into CarParts.[2]

Products and Services

Auto Parts Warehouse offers a wide range of automotive-related products through its online sales channels and direct partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers.[3] The company caters to both the DIY (do it yourself) and DIFM (do it for me) market segments,[4] offering products for over 50 vehicle brands, covering domestic and imported makes and models. Auto Parts Warehouse features products from nearly 700 labels, including:

Global aftermarket suppliers

Performance parts manufacturers

Specialty brands

The e-commerce site utilizes a product database for tracking SKUs for wide-range product applications based on vehicle make, model, year, and other specifications.[5]

Community

In April 2014, the company introduced the Heroes Automobile Gallery, allowing active service members and veterans to post pictures of their vehicles and share their stories. The program also offered 20% military discount on automotive parts. The company also restored several vehicles of service members as a promotion.[6] [7] [8]
