She debuted as an indie musician in 2019, releasing songs digitally and online. In 2022, she performed her first anime song "Ienai", which was used as the ending theme to the second season of the television series Rent-A-Girlfriend. Her music has also been featured in anime series such as Urusei Yatsura and . BiographyAsmi was born in Osaka Prefecture on January 5, 2001.[2] She was interested in music from an early age, largely inspired by her older sister. In high school, she served as manager of the light music club, which had over 100 members. The club also participated in a national competition and won a prize in the chorus division.[3] After graduating from high school, she started attending a vocational school, where she furthered her skills and learned to play the guitar.[4] Asmi started her music activities in 2019 with the release of her first single "Osanpo" that year.[5] The following year, she won the grand prize at Jūdai Hakusho, a Kansai-based talent search for young artists.[6] She also released her first album Bond that same year.[7] In 2021, Asmi gained attention for her participation in the music project Maisondes. She performed the song for the project, which gained popularity on TikTok and also led to her appearing on the YouTube channel The First Take.
