Ashaga-Zakhit (Russian: link=no|Ашага-Захит) is a rural locality (a selo) and the administrative center of Zakhitsky Selsoviet, Khivsky District, Republic of Dagestan, Russia. The population was 274 as of 1970.[1]

Geography

It is located 7 km from Khiv (the district's administrative centre), 147 km from Makhachkala (capital of Dagestan) and 1,783 km from Moscow. Yukhari-Zakhit is the nearest rural locality.[2]
