Asgarabad (fa|عسگراباد) is a village in, and the capital of, Quchan Atiq Rural District of Quchan Atiq District, Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[2] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Shahr-e Kohneh,[3] now a city.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 702 in 193 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 692 people in 218 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 272 people in 88 households.[7]

In 2019, the rural district was separated from the district in the formation of Quchan Atiq District.[2]
