Ascuta univa is a species of Orsolobidae that is endemic to New Zealand.[1]
This species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from female and male specimens collected in Lewis Pass. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.
The female is recorded at 2.44mm in length whereas the male is 2.72mm. The carapace and abdomen are patterned dorsally.
This species is only known from Lewis Pass, New Zealand.
Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend" and "One Location".[2]
