Ascuta parornata is a species of Orsolobidae. The species is endemic to New Zealand.[1]
This species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from male and female specimens collected in Fiordland. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.
The female is recorded at 3.28mm in length whilst the male is 2.88mm. The carapace and abdomen have patterning dorsally.
This species is only known from Fiordland, New Zealand.
Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend".[2]
