Arhopala phaenops explained

Arhopala phaenops, is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It was described by Cajetan Felder and Rudolf Felder in 1865. It is found in the Indomalayan realm.[1]

A. phaenops Fldr. is similar to Arhopala adorea it is smaller, of a brighter blue, and above all discernible by the under surface, where the small rings of the proximal half of the hindwing are very small and therefore more remote from each other. The transverse bands in the marginal area of the forewing, which in adorea are interrupted on the median, run here uniformly.[2] [3] [4]
