Archaeophya magnifica explained

Archaeophya magnifica is a species of dragonfly in the family Gomphomacromiidae,[1] known as the magnificent urfly.[2] It is a large, metallic-black dragonfly with yellow markings and clear wings.It is endemic to north-east Queensland, Australia.[3] where it inhabits rainforest streams.[4]

Note

There is uncertainty about which family Archaeophya magnifica best belongs to: Gomphomacromiidae,[1] Synthemistidae,[5] or Corduliidae.[6]
