Erbil Governorate (Kurdish: پارێزگای ھەولێر,Parêzgeha Hewlêr,^{[4] [5]} Arabic: محافظة أربيل|Muḥāfaẓat Arbīl^[6]) is a governorate in the Kurdistan Region. It is the capital and economic hub of the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region of Iraq.^[7]
