Aramco Stadium will be a multi-purpose stadium located in the north of Khobar, Saudi Arabia.[1] [2] One of the 2034 FIFA World Cup stadiums, the stadium will have a capacity of 47,000.[3] It will also be used for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.[4] A partnership between Roshn, a Public Investment Fund owned real estate development company, and Aramco was established to build this stadium.[5] Its opening will take place in 2026.[3]
The stadium in named after Aramco a majority Saudi Arabian state-owned petroleum and natural gas company that is the national oil company of Saudi Arabia. Upon its opening Aramco will operate the stadium, while Roshn will own the stadium.
Construction on the Aramco Stadium began in 2024, and will be completed in 2026.[6] Upon completion, it will be primarily used by Al-Qadsiah of the Saudi Pro League.
The whirlpool design of the stadium is inspired by sails and waves.
