Ang Pulubi at ang Prinsesa (Tagalog: The Pauper and the Princess) is a 1997 Filipino comedy-drama family film produced by Star Cinema and directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng, released on January 10, 1997. The film stars Camille Prats and Angelica Panganiban (both from Sarah... Ang Munting Prinsesa in 1995 and Ang TV The Movie: The Adarna Adventure in 1996).

Synopsis

Rosalie lives with her aunt Bella (Doria) and uncle Gaston (Adamos) in Cebu City. She decides to go to Manila to search for her lost mother (Valdez), but she is abducted by a criminal syndicate.

An unwanted Rosalie leaves Nikka’s house and goes to live with her friends Malunggay (Arnaiz) and Baldo (Sarmenta). Meanwhile, Nikka gets scolded at her mother's wedding after she throws a tantrum because she doesn't enjoy at all then she also left all night long until wandering around the road and all the way to the squatter in the next morning. Then the next day, Nikka learns to humble thanks to Rosalie and she becomes best friends when she realizes her faults.

Rosalie gets a lead on her mother and learns that she's passed away. In her grief, she starts to envy Nikka. Boss Tom (Cepeda), the leader of the criminal syndicate, escapes prison. He abducts Nikka and Malunggay as vengeance. Rosalie and Baldo attempt to rescue them. Nikka is taken to the hospital and Rosalie apologizes to an unconscious Nikka.

In the end, Rosalie and Nikka later were reunited at the birthday party before they walk on top of the hill singing their song with credits at the end of the film and hugging each other.
