Andrea Hirata Explained

Andrea Hirata (born 24 October 1967)^[1] is an Indonesian author best known for the 2005 novel Laskar Pelangi ("The Rainbow Troops") and its sequels.

Awards

Winner of New York Book Festival 2013 in general fiction category ^[2]

Granted an Honorary Doctor of Letters (Hon DLitt) from University of Warwick, UK 2015
