Frank Panabaker Elementary School (formerly known as Ancaster Senior Public School and Fessenden Elementary School) is an elementary school in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, and is part of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.
Frank Panabaker is known for many successful sports teams including baseball, track and field, cross country, soccer, basketball, floorball, volleyball, golf, water polo, swimming, flag football, and ice hockey team.[2]
The school is named after Canadian landscape artist and Ancaster resident, Frank Panabaker.[3] The elementary school re-opened as Frank Panabaker Elementary School in September 2019, after combining it's predecessors; Ancaster Senior Public School (ASPS), and Fessenden Elementary School. The south campus occupies the former Ancaster Senior Public School building, and the north campus occupies the former Fessenden Elementary School.[4] Frank Panabaker is considered a feeder school for Ancaster High School.
Ancaster Senior Public School was founded in 1968[5] teaching grades 7-8. Fesseden Elementary School was founded in 1959 which taught grades JK-6.
