History

The university is named after Amadou-Mahtar M'Bow.^{[1] [2]}

Construction began in 2017.^[3] The university was inaugurated on December 1, 2022, by the President of the Republic of Senegal, Mr. Macky Sall.^[4]

Infrastructure

The university buildings were constructed in partnership with Chinese cooperation.^[5]
