Alvord is a city in Lyon County, Iowa, United States. The population was 206 at the 2020 census.[2]

As of the census[5] of 2010, there were 196 people, 79 households, and 54 families living in the city. The population density was 700PD/sqmi. There were 85 housing units at an average density of 303.6/sqmi. The racial makeup of the city was 89.8% White, 8.2% from other races, and 2.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11.2% of the population.
