Aluoja Falls is located on Mägara Creek. Before descending into the Pühajõgi Valley, Mägara Creek forms Aluoja Canyon, which is about 700m (2,300feet) long and about 10m (30feet) deep. The waterfall consists of five large steps, the heights of which are 1.4m (04.6feet), 0.7m (02.3feet), 1.9m (06.2feet), 1.3m (04.3feet), and 0.5m (01.6feet) from top to bottom. At the falls, the width of the water is 5mto10mm (16feetto30feetm).[2] The ledge of Aluoja Falls is protected as a natural monument.[3]
